GHELUVELT PARK 2025

Earlier this year a Serbian spruce (Picea Omorika), which has the look of a Christmas tree, was planted adjacent to the War Memorial in Gheluvelt Park. From this has come the idea of illuminating the tree at Christmas to recognise past and current service in the forces.

For a name to be recognised and included on the Roll of Recognition a minimum donation of £5.00 is required. Proceeds from the donations will be shared amongst local organisations supporting ex-military personnel and their families.

The tree will be illuminated in the run up to Christmas and though to 6th January 2026. The Roll of Recognition will be published online and stay there until next year’s campaign. The names will also be on display in the windows of the Sons of Rest Pavilion in the Park.

This project is being managed by the Rotary Club of Worcester

Note: The Roll of Recognition is in the order of donation and does NOT include rank.
